Finally, headphones to trump all others!

Yes, Sennheiser gives us plenty to be excited about as it releases to the Philippines its Momentum On-Ear headphones. For those of you who do not want to compromise neither sound or design, the perfect cans have arrived.

I have had the privilege of trying the Momentum On-Ear headphones for a few weeks now, and I have to say, they do not only look good but they sound fantastic. The headphones have a snug, luxurious fit that I love. Wearing them is an experience in itself as it effectively blocks out outside noises yet presses against the ears very comfortably. I got the green color, which kind of has a military feel to it. It is great because both my husband and I can use it and it doesn’t look funny on either one of us. Its design is fantastic, as every detail has been thought out meticulously. And, of course, just as important as its design is its sound quality. In a way, I kind of expected a lot from it, as Sennheiser has always stood for unparalleled sound. I think it is safe to say that with the Momentum line, nothing has been compromised. The Momentum On-Ears feature high-end transducers that allow for clarity and detail with a slight bass emphasis, merging nothing less of the perfect acoustics with aesthetics.

I watched a lot of movies with it and really, it made a huge difference. I could hear dialogue so clearly, I didn’t need to switch on the subtitles (something I usually do because I don’t like missing out on dialogue). I watched a lot of my favourite movies again and I was so happy because it was like watching them for the first time. I couldn’t believe I missed out on so much dialogue in the past–my Momentums allowed me to hear everything. And when it came to music, it was so clear and crisp, I could seriously hear every voice and every instrument without the heavy boom-boom of the base. Its base is loud, of course, and its there, but it wasn’t sabog.

This is really a game-changer for me, and really, I can’t watch movies and listen to music the same way again. My Momentum On-Ears is really in a class of its own.
