Early Bird Breakfast Club

This has got to be everyone’s favorite meal of the day: BREAKFAST! Yes, I am one of those people who can’t start their day without the most important (and yummiest) meal. Give me good ol’ traditional breakfast (steak and eggs, pancakes and/or waffles, bacon, hash brown) or, OR yummy Filipino almusal (longganisa with rice, arroz caldo, champorado), and Ill be sure to be in a good mood the entire day! And because I love breakfast so much, I’ve made it a point to keep an eye out for great breakfast places I can visit in the future. You know, for “breakfast emergencies”, otherwise known as major brekkie pangs or when I absolutely need to eat breakfast at any given time of the day.

One such establishment is EARLY BIRD BREAKFAST CLUB. I went there for brunch one time and I think its safe to say that it is the prettiest breakfast place in town! Seriously. You may already heard about it/seen it from my Spring Fling blog post (it was our venue). It really has one of the nicest, most charming interiors in the metro, but here’s the best part–their food is AMAZING! The one I went to is located at the ground floor of Century City Mall at Kalayaan Avenue, and is the second Early Bird Breakfast Club restaurant (the “mother restaurant” is at the Fort). Its signature dishes are best-sellers–loyal patrons keep going back for these because its soooooo good! These include the original Yin & Yang Champorado, The Early Bird Full English, Chorizo & Mushroom Risotto and everyone’s favorite (mine included), French Toast Fondue. New in the menu but quickly becoming popular are the Sweet Glazed Katcino and the Poached Salmon Aioli.

You can only imagine how happy I was to be eating breakfast at 1145am (yes, its still breakfast) with my husband. We ordered our favorite morning food and ended up getting ALL RICE DISHES–talk about carbo loading! Hahaha. That’s what we get for not planning our meals. Needless to say, though, we were crazy happy to be eating exactly what we wanted! Check out our little brunch date.

IMG_2349Reading the morning paper–err, nope, thats the Early Bird Daily, their menu!

IMG_2376Yes, its as good as it looks. I can tell you that much! BUTTERBEER! Its an amazing fizzy concoction. Its definitely a must-try.

IMG_2413Sweet Glazed Katcino (P375) A delightful hybrid of your favorite tocino and katsu! Crispy boneless chicken coated in a sweet glaze over Breakfast Rice and topped with a sunny side up egg!

IMG_2423Trying out this new dish. It was recommended by our server. Its yummy–sweet and tasty, so bagay with rice!

IMG_2432Arroz Caldo Crunch (P265) Rice porridge with tender chicken leg and their famous crispy adobo flakes.

IMG_2393Chorizo & Mushroom Risotto (P465) Spanish chorizo and fresh mushroom risotto  with Parmigiano Reggiano.

IMG_2404Tenderloin Tapa (P375) Beef tenderloin in their sweet marinade, served with Breakfast Rice and your choice of egg.

IMG_2426Rice galore! Hahaha. But oh so yummy!

IMG_2445French Toast Fondue (P210) Cut up french toast served with cinnamon sugar, maple syrup, and melted chocolate. This is soooooo good! Definitely one of my favorites!
