A few weeks ago, I got invited to the store opening of Dorothy Perkins and men’s fashion brand Burton at Mega Fashion Hall in SM Megamall. Incidentally, it was also the 10 year anniversary of Dorothy Perkins, so we had a lot to celebrate that day. I’ve always liked DP. It is trendy and chic but still quite affordable. I never fail to get great deals from them, especially when they go on sale! I have to admit, I haven’t visited their store in months which is why I was pleasantly surprised to find super cute tops and dresses, maxi skirts, jackets, pants and accessories at the store opening. They even have shoes, which are comfy and great for everyday wear, and stylish bags to dress up your outfit.

I was given time to do a little shopping before the opening. And I ended up with a lot of great finds (it was 20% off on all items that day). Their clothes consisted of bold tropical prints (like the green jumpsuit I was wearing), pretty pastels, and a lot of hardworking basics. I was drawn to bold prints and pastels–they are such big trends this season. Needless to say, I had an amazing time shopping, and I got to do it with pretty ladies Bea Soriano, Maggie Wilson-Consunji and Divine Lee. Of course, I also checked out the newly opened Burton, which was right beside DP. They carried a lot of these floral t-shirts and denim, which I think look so good on guys, and they also had proper things like printed long sleeved shirts, great-fitting pants and sleek suits. I think celebrities Marc Nelson, Victor Basa, Andrei Felix and host Aaron Atayde wore their clothes quite well. Overall, we all looked our best wearing Burton for the guys, and Dorothy Perkins for the ladies.
