Kawaii Crafternoon

It was a fun and creative afternoon dedicated to rubber stamping. Thanks to talented artist/crafternoon organizer Alessa Lanot and her BFF/collaborator/event planner Patty Laurel-Filart, a bunch of us ladies stamped our worries away at vegetarian restaurant: Pipino. The theme was Japanese-inspired prints–we learned how to do Furoshiki Art (the art of Japanese fabric folding) and even got to design our own scarves! It was such a happy experience. I am now officially addicted to rubber stamping!

Craft Carrot provided all the art materials. They set up a little booth with colored pens, stamp pads, ink, paint, brushes and markers in practically all the colors of the rainbow. The lot of us ended up raiding their supplies at the end of the event–their products are so nice and super affordable (their stamp pads sell for only P80!). I bought enough to continue my new hobby, though I regret not buying more! And to join in with the Japanese theme, Shiseido gave all the guests beauty loot bags with their newest and most innovative products. Of course, we were more than happy to be showered with gifts–thank you, Shiseido!

IMG_7822We skipped the hard part: Alessa’s team provided us with these already carved Japanese-inspired rubber stamps. They are so cute!

pipinoAnd, of course, we all got to eat healthy, yummy food while stamping. We had Kale Chips, Quinoa Sushi Rolls, Cold Soba Buckwheat Noodles with Tofu and Veggie Tempura, Eggplant and Tofu Miso and my favorite Oatmeal Cookies with Vegan Ice Cream. Thank you, Pipino for feeding us! Stamping made me hungry hehehe. (Photos above are from www.pattylaurel.com.)
