It is no big secret that I am a fan of Pandora. I’ve been collecting charms for my two bracelets since 2014 and I have no plans of stopping (ever lol). I love my little collection because (1) I can wear it, (2) each charm represents a milestone or a special person in my life, (3) it is valuable (my bracelets are made of sterling silver/14k gold and some are encrusted with precious stones), (4) the charms are so pretty, and (5) it never goes out of style.

I attend Pandora’s Trends Presentations every year (S/S and F/W) and no miss, I swoon over the newest collections. This year is no different. The spring 2016 collection is all kinds of wonderful–the designs are subtle, elegant and beautiful. I can’t wait to get my hands on them.

Design Inspiration. This season, Pandora captures the poetry of fascinating florals by reimagining popular blooms and introducing new flowers to Pandora’s flora-inspired jewellery designs. Also interwoven are references to broderie anglaise and radiant symbols of everlasting love, paying tribute to women, motherhood and unbreakable bonds. The collection cleverly melds new materials with innovative crafting techniques to create playful contrasts. The pairing of formal compositions with artistic arrangements, smooth surfaces with embellishments, and decorative details with sleek graphic outlines generates extraordinary synergy and allure. Sophisticated pastels blend with iridescent and pearlescent sheens on cool sterling silver with touches of warm 14k gold, imbuing the jewellery with elegant femininity and an on-trend edge.

From Idea: For spring, PANDORA’s design team takes inspiration from micro floral prints and lace, both upcoming trends for the season. Pretty forget me not flowers – adored for their sweet colour and shape,
and sentiments of true love and fond memories – have played the role of muse, used to illustrate scenes from nature on captivating jewellery designs.

To Design: The result is the breath-taking Forget Me Not jewellery series in sterling silver, comprising a collier necklace, hanging and stud earrings, a spacer and a standout statement ring. Combining bold outlines with petite details, the ring’s wide, lace-like openwork design showcases a graceful arrangement of forget me nots, brought to life with twinkling spotlights of purple and clear cubic zirconia stones.

From Idea: The sentiments and symbolism of being connected forever is explored by PANDORA’s design team this season and referenced throughout the new collection. The classic love knot symbol, a forthcoming fashion trend, was selected as a key source of inspiration due to its beautiful features, textural lines and intricate braiding, which are perfect for enhancing and exaggerating.

To Design: Celebrating unconditional and unbreakable love, the Sparkling Love Knot necklace pendant is a timeless interpretation of this icon of eternal bonds.
Rendered in sterling silver, the swirling curves of its elegant shape are delicately woven with on-trend stone embellishments. Completing the series are stud earrings and a ring, plus a 14k gold charm, all decorated with clear cubic zirconia stones.

  1. Thanks for this Kelly. Actually, I’ve always been interested to the brand’s name. But don’t get the chance to know it more until today. The designs are perfect for summer! 🙂
