Marco Polo Ortigas

If you haven’t already noticed, my family and I have gone on quite a few staycations this summer. Personally, I love it because it gives us a chance to enjoy the amenities we don’t normally get to use when we travel. I mean, of course, when we’re in a different country we rarely just stay in our hotel rooms and sleep in. Staycations allow you to do just that. You can literally spend the entire weekend in the hotel and you can come home super relaxed. And if you think this is all too boring for your taste, well, there is actually a lot you can do when on a staycation: you can dine in their restaurants or order room service, go for a massage, enjoy the pool and just melt in the awesome hotel bed.

Definitely my idea of fun, which is why we did all that and more sleeping when we checked in Marco Polo Ortigas a few weeks ago. We loved our stay at this gorgeous five-star hotel. We enjoyed the amazing food at their authentic Cantonese restaurant Lung Hin, as well as their all-day dining resto Cucina. We had coffee at Cafe Pronto, spent the afternoon at VU’s (their sky bar and lounge located on the 45th floor), and when we didn’t want to move, we ordered room service. Oh, and you can’t beat their beds! Hotel beds are my favorite, and their beds did not disappoint. They were super comfortable and I woke up so rested. And of course, I loved all the amenities like the heated indoor pool, massages from their in-house spa, and just the convenience of its location (the hotel is near Shangri-la Mall, Megamall and Podium). We surely had a hard time saying goodbye to our room at the end of our stay–we had such a lovely view! Huge thanks to Ms. Judith for taking care of us. We were so spoiled and happy.
