My travel diary: Boracay

Boracay will always have a special place in my heart. It was where Carlos and I got together more than a decade ago, and where I choose to bring my family whenever I can for a relaxing vacation. We used to go to the island every year, until there came a time when we stopped going. Looking back, I am a bit sad about that but it only makes our trips to this magical island all the more special because we don’t get to go as often as we would like. The powder white sand is still incomparable to all the others beaches I’ve been to all over the world, as well as the crystal clear waters and gorgeous sunny weather. For me, it will always be the best beach in the world! And I am always happy to go back no matter what the weather is like.

Here are our photos from our last trip–Tristan was the happiest to be there. He absolutely loved playing with the super fine sand and water. Oh, and huge thank you to The Lind Boracay for taking care of us during this trip. It was our second time to stay there, and really, we love the luxe rooms (the beds are just amazing), its cool, modern design and the impeccable service. Read my review on this gorgeous hotel HERE.

Hi Kelly – Love Boracay. I would say that Boracay possesses that rare, special magical intangible aura we all all seek. One can feel ______ in the air. I think I may have only felt this warm energy once before // believe it or note….on Waikiki Beach in Oahu, Hawaii. There is a majestic palm tree there pointing toward the crystal blue aqua where I used to write letters whenever my ship was in port.

I wonder where the hidden Boracays’ are in the P.I. Hmmm, I got it! I will devote my “re-firement” years ISO stumbling across “the” 21st Century Shangra-La located somewhere amid the peaks and valleys of Peaceful and Gorgeous Negros Island. :))

I would have to agree regarding everything you said about Boracay. It is truly a magical island. Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment. Now I want to plan a trip to Waikiki Beach! I’ve never been! Ah–other hidden “Boracays” in the Philippines are in Palawan (El Nido), Cebu (Bantayan Island) and Camiguin! Beautiful beaches!!! 🙂
