Magnum certainly knows how to throw a party. For its first event of the year, the yummy ice cream brand went all out, as they threw an amazing VIP party for Manila’s social scene. Held at a private residence at McKinley Road, the event was anything but your usual house party, as the place was dressed up with urban chic aesthetics, with overflowing champagne and sangria. Guests were served a delicious spread of jamon, mozzarella arugula sandwiches, salad and truffle cream pasta, by non-other than Cibo’s Margarita Fores. Entertainment was provided by DJ Emel Rowe and singers Chris Cayzer and Jessica Connelly.
Magnum also introduced its newest brand ambassador, Georgina Wilson, who joined its current endorsers–Erwan Heussaff, Rajo Laurel, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Raymond Gutierrez, Liz Uy and Solenn Heussaff–up on stage to present its latest ice cream flavors: Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate & Strawberry. Everyone, of course, got to try these (my favorite is Chocolate & Strawberry). The highlight of the night though, was an exclusive performance by New York rapper, Azealia Banks, who got everyone dancing to her hit singles Liquorice and 212, EP of 1991 and Fantasea, and her own remix of Harlem Shake. What I really enjoyed though, was her performance of Amy Winehouse’s Valerie.
