What I Wore: Philippine Fashion Ball 2012

As I was reorganizing my photos from the past few months, I noticed I skipped on a few events that I’ve been meaning to post. One of these was the Philippine Fashion Ball, which was held at the Peninsula Manila last August 24.

It was one of the few events where I didn’t plan what to wear and simply went at the last minute. And no, I didn’t just find something to wear in my closet. I had to call my favorite fashion designer for this one: Mr. Joey Samson.

Big events like these require formal gowns that usually take weeks in preparation. But thanks to Joey, I have something to wear in a matter of hours, which is why I am forever grateful to him. I think I posted once before that I’ve been working closely with Joey since I started modeling. He always gave me gowns and dresses to wear, and always so beautifully made and in sync with my style.

For the Philippine Fashion Ball, he sent over this exquisite gray tulle skirt that I decided to pair with my own lace button-down top. As I planned my outfit I wanted to pile on my biggest statement necklaces. But in the end, I wanted to keep it simple and classy. My hair proved to be my best accessory that night as I kept it down and super straight. I brought a black beaded clutch and wore a bejeweled ring. I was so happy everything fell together that day.

I didn’t bring a camera with me, but I was able to gather photos from different fashion website.
