Cartier’s Baiser Volé

Baiser-volé-the-new-fragrance-by-Cartier

My very own bottle came in the mail a few weeks ago, thanks to Rustan’s. You can imagine how thrilled I was to get a delivery like this, I mean, who wouldn’t want to receive something that came in a Cartier bag?! Right away I opened the box and sampled the fragrance–and I’ve been using it ever since (it now sits prettily on my bureau, alongside my favorite scents).

Can I just say, I am huge fan of perfume. For me, no outfit is complete without it, and it really does change your mood once you wear it. This newest fragrance from Cartier does just that, as it delivers a feminine fragrance that is floral, fresh and powdery. For me this is more of a day scent, as it leaves a very light veil on you that isn’t at all hard or overpowering. The scent features the rare lily flower, which can be described as elegant and refined, and spontaneous and direct.

The bottle is very interesting as well. It reminded me of those sophisticated lighters back in the 1930s. The cap lifts up to one side to reveal an engraved nozzle, all in gold. Its design is really quite beautiful. I also love that the liquid of the fragrance has a pretty blush color.

Of course, its name, Baiser Volé, means stolen kiss. It was dreamed up by Cartier’s in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent as a story of pure passion, an expression of love that can be compared to a stolen kiss. The brand best describes it as a perfume of pure passion, with an outstanding lingering scent. For me, it is a soft and beautiful fragrance that is light enough to be worn everyday.

Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Parfum is available in 30ml (P3,700), 50ml (P5,200), and 100ml (P7,400) bottles. Eau de Toilette is available in 50ml (P4,500) and 100ml (P6,500), available at Rustan’s.
