Most of us forget that SM really stands for SHOE MART. The brand started out as a shoe store more than 50 years ago, and has since evolved into a mega empire. I couldn’t help but think of this while I was at the re-opening of SM Makati’s Shoe Department, because they had opened an impressive section that is dedicated to SHOES! The area is a vast 5,500 square meters that showcases over 25,000 pairs of shoes. Seriously, it has the largest selection of shoes in Metro Manila! I really couldn’t get over it as I shopped that day–every kind of shoe you can imagine in different colors and styles–it was such a joy to shop. Talk about options!!! 

I made one round and discovered shoes for ladies, men and children were now all in one place. This makes shopping easier, as the whole family can find the shoes they want and purchase them in one go. Here, you can find SM’s very own Parisian shoes, along with other stylish house brands like Milanos and Salvatore Mann (for men), and Sugar Kids and Tough Kids (for kids). It was a pleasant surprise to find global brands like Badgely Mischka, L.A.M.B., Jeffrey Campbell, Joe’s Jeans, Nina, Adrianna Papell and Marie Claire there, too!
