.) Shiseido Glow Enhancing Primer, P1,750. This leaves a soft and silky finish which I love because it feels like my skin is prepped for makeup. Foundation adheres better and it lends a nice radiance that is obvious even after applying makeup. More importantly, it does everything a primer is supposed to do, which is to minimize the appearance of pores, smoothen fine lines and extend the life of makeup (less retouching).
.) Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow (Empty Trio Palette, P300; Artist Shadow Refill, P875 each). The recommended shades of the season are rosy, coppery tones like these. I have to say, these are so pretty and easy to apply as shimmer allows you to blend them easily. I haven’t worn gold and bronze shadows in a while, which is probably why it looks so fresh and new (even summery) to me. You can choose to wear the eyeshadow alone or blended together to create a bold statement.
.) Make Up For Ever Mascara Smoky Stretch, P1,650. This mascara delivers length and volume to each lash strand, minus the clumps (impressive). Usually you only get one or the other, but this combines both. Its formula contains sericin, a protein that comes from silk, as well as the shaping properties of a micro-patch made up of two gums: alginate gel and acacia resin. The secret to its lengthening, stretching and separating powers though lie in its conical brush made of flexible polymer that gets the mascara to each lash from root to tip.
.) K-Palette 2 Way Eyebrow Pencil, P795. I love K-Palette’s Eyebrow Liner (I don’t leave home without it) so when I heard K-Palette came out with a pencil version I was excited to try it out. This definitely had a different effect from the liner/pen, as it allowed me to draw more defined eyebrows. This is great for creating natural-looking full brows, as one side has a retractable pencil to fill in gaps and sparse areas and the other side has a blendable brow powder to deliver a soft effect.
.) Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color RS302 (Tea Rose). A shimmery blush in a great, wearable color. What I love about this blusher is that it blends so well on my skin–it adds a healthy dose of color that looks good with day or evening makeup. Its shimmer doubles as a highlighter and looks amazing when applied on the apples of your cheeks.
.) Mary Kay Beauty That Counts Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss, P700. Super moisturizing and conditioning, this lip gloss combines two shades: Pink Sateen and Berry Tart, to create a new, wearable color. It is formulated with Vitamins A and E, as well as Pomegranate Sterois and food grade, plant-derived minerals. It is non-sticky and delivers a great, everyday color. Also, for every purchase of this product a dollar will be donated to support a local charitable institution.
.) Clinique Pop Lip Color, P1,100. This rich color lipstick is formulated with a smoothing primer, which makes this a great lippie to wear all-day. It delivers bold color, which I love, but is super moisturizing. It has a smooth, velvety application which makes it so easy to wear. Lips look fuller thanks to its vibrant color and shiny finish.
.) MAC Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow in Collective Chic, P1,700. This palette contains beautiful eyeshadow: a peachy champagne tone, a green-khaki shade and a plum-brown color. These are such lovely shimmery shadows that you can easily blend with your existing makeup. I like the brown shadow the most–it is great for creating a smoky eye.
.) MAC Lipstick in Pillow Talk, P1,000. I can’t have enough nude lipsticks, and this one makes a great addition to my collection. This malty warm nude lipstick has a light, creamy finish that’s so easy to wear.
.) Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Yuzu, P3,250 for 100ml. I am a fan of the Green Tea range, so this was a happy discovery for me. This version is sparkling, uplifting and feminine–it starts off with bright notes of Yuzu zest, sheer bergamot and sparkling lemon which meet green tea vapors and lemon tea petitgrain. The heart of the fragrance is Yuzu pulp accord blended with wild thyme, spearmint, black currant buds, green tea leaves and Tunisian neroli. The scent finishes with soft musk mixed with ambrette seed and white birch. It is a fresh, citrusy scent that I can’t get enough of.
