I couldn’t be happier about this campaign! My little Tristan is officially Belo Baby’s newest ambassador! He, along with his buddies Theo, Alonzo and Luis will be endorsing their newest range of products, and the mommies couldn’t be prouder. As a new mom, I have to say it has been challenging to try one baby brand after the other, especially when some products don’t agree with my baby’s skin. Tristan seems to have gotten his dad’s sensitive skin, so his products have to be super gentle, safe and natural. In a span of nine months, I must’ve tried most of the baby brands in the market. And while it hasn’t been cheap to keep switching from brand to brand, I’ve come to find that I’m the type of mom who will give anything for my baby if I know it is good for him. And Belo Baby products are definitely on my top shelf of baby products.
I got the chance to try out Belo Baby products a month prior to its launch, so I’ve been able to use them on Tristan for a good number of weeks. I used all of the products on him everyday–I give my baby a bath twice a day, once in the morning when he wakes up and before going to bed, and each time he bathes we use Belo Baby Hair and Body Wash and the Belo Baby Bar Soap. After his bath we apply Belo Baby Face and Body Lotion, which is my personal favorite.
So I wanted to do a quick review on each product based on my experience with using these on my baby. Again I have to mention that Tristan’s skin is on the sensitive side, so his skin gets dry quickly, and he is prone to allergic reactions and rashes. I am happy to say that we experienced none of these problems with Belo Baby. In fact, his skin has never looked and felt better.
Belo Baby Hair and Body Wash. The first thing I did when I received these products was to smell them. I can’t stand it when the fragrance is too strong, because it masks my baby’s natural scent (which I am addicted to), so I knew that before I commit to the product, it had to smell nice. Belo Baby passed with flying colors because it has a sweet almond scent that is also light and delicate. Another thing I love about this product is that it is a two-in-one wash. I don’t like having to use a shampoo and separate body wash during bath time, because this ritual really should be simple and fun. One wash from head to toe: YES. It makes life easier, and I can just focus on playing with Tristan. Also, it makes packing so much easier–a plus for us since we love to travel. Lastly, I am happy it doesn’t foam into a pile of suds, because that means that the product has sulfides, which is cheap and not at all gentle to baby’s skin (it is free of all the nasty chemicals and preservatives like SLS, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, dyes, sodium chloride, formaldehyde, MEA, DEA, TEA and most common allergens). A baby wash should be able to cleanse skin without stripping it of its protective oils, so minimal suds or bubbles was good news for me.
Belo Baby Bar Soap. I have to admit, I don’t really use soap since I am more of a body wash girl (even for my baby). But there are instances when a bar soap is convenient. Practicing hand washing at an early age is a big yes for me, so even if Tristan isn’t a year old we wash his hands several times a day. I would use alcohol and wipes when we’re out, but I don’t really want all that stuck on my baby’s hands (especially since he put them in his mouth all the time). So we wash his hands with Belo Baby Bar Soap and we are happy with the results. This bar soap is especially great because it is absolutely free of SLS, sulfates, sodium tallowate, tetrasodium, etidronate, EDTA parabens, phthalates, DEA, triclosan, synthetic preservatives, paraffin, petrochemicals and common allergens. It is also rich in cocoa butter, shea butter and sweet almond oil that all help nourish and condition baby’s delicate skin.
Belo Baby Face and Body Lotion. This is my favorite product, because it involves a daily ritual that I love: touching and massaging my baby. Like all moms I am obsessed with my baby’s skin, and as much a possible I give him light massages, which he absolutely loves. This lotion is a winner for me because it disappears into Tristan’s skin and doesn’t leave a sticky, thick layer that you get from other lotions. It keeps my baby’s skin moisturized, which ultimately protects it from harmful elements (it is absolutely free of EDTA parabens, silicones, formaldehyde and most common allergens). Plus, it has a light gentle scent that is perfect for babies.
I am happy to say that we never experienced any problems with Belo Baby. In fact, Tristan’s skin has never looked and felt better. I can proudly recommend it to other moms because it is effective, safe and affordable. More importantly, it is clinically proven gentle on baby’s skin as it contains these three awesome ingredients: (1) Cocoa Butter – an ingredient that contains antioxidant qualities that protect skin from the outside and keeps skin healthy by strengthening and deeply moisturizing it. It also has anti-inflammatory properties, as it also relieves common skin irritations, like rashes. (2) Shea Butter – a known superfood for the skin and hair. It heals, protects, nourishes and moisturizes skin from damage and dryness, and it is natural, gentle, soft and suitable for all skin types (especially for delicate and sensitive skin). It naturally heals common skin conditions like eczema and diaper rash. (3) Sweet Almond Oil – it helps lock moisture in the skin and is a good exfoliator, to help remove dead skin cells and stimulate the development of healthy skin.
I love that Belo Baby products are crafted with care for the most delicate skin, for the most meticulous moms. I’ve finally found a baby brand that suits Tristan’s needs, and that’s Belo Baby!
