Here’s exciting news: LAWSON is finally in Metro Manila! I know I announced it on Instagram awhile ago, but… life kind of happened but now I finally found the time to blog about it. So for those of you who didn’t know this awesome Japanese convenience store is now in the Philippines, well, IT IS! 🙂
As you know, I am a fan of all things Japanese, and this is definitely one of them. I frequented the Lawson beside our hotel when we vacationed in Tokyo and I loved how complete it was. Of course, I expected the same thing when I got invited to the opening of the 6789 Ayala branch, and I was so pleased that it has everything you need and more.
For one, it has a Carinderia Station that carries all your favorite Filipino dishes: Chicken Adobo, Binagoongang Baboy, Pork Sisig, Chicken Curry and Sweet and Sour Pork are some of the yummy meals they serve there. It is served with unlimited rice–and at only P69 you really can’t go wrong with their super budget meals.
Another thing I love about Lawson is their soft serve ice cream!!! They have the most amazing ice cream with the most unique flavors! When I was there they served Bamboo Charcoal and Cherry Blossom flavors. Umm, I don’t think you can ever find those flavors anywhere in the Philippines, but they have them and it was sooooo yummy! To top it off, it is Swirl to the Max at only P25! C’mon, how affordable is that?!
Then, they have all these Japanese snack food that you wont find anywhere, and cold sandwiches, salads, pasta, sushi and dessert, all at great prices and packed to eat on the go. Oh, and they also carry Breadtalk at the stores, which is such a win for me.
Lawson at 6789 Tower on Ayala Avenue is actually the 20th Lawson store in the Philippines, and it is the most complete as it is the flagship store. This is definitely worth the visit when in Makati–I would definitely go for the affordable meals on the go and the soft serve ice cream.
