A good movie and yummy eats. That’s pretty much all I need these days to be happy and entertained. Oh, and great company. That, of course, makes all the difference. Lately, I’ve been spending lots of time with my lovely group of mamas: the Baby Barangay, as we’ve been discovering amazing places, delicious food and top-quality brands. Really, it doesn’t seem like work when I’m with these ladies. We always manage to have a blast when we’re together, which is a welcome break from our busy mommy lives. No doubt, we appreciate the few hours when we can relax and enjoy while we let the kids interact and play among themselves. Our happy crew (minus Patty, who is vacationing in Europe with her family) was invited to host a movie premiere of Finding Dory at the new Director’s Club Cinema at S Maison (Conrad Hotel’s luxury mall by the sea) and wow, we all had the best movie experience.

One thing that made this super fun was that we had the entire cinema to ourselves (we invited our friends and their families, so everyone pretty much knew each other). Plus, it was the first time for most of the kids to watch a movie in a cinema, so it was exciting for them. The older kiddos really paid attention to the movie and enjoyed snacking on their buttered popcorn, while Tristan (the only baby in the cinema) watched for the first 20 minutes and slept throughout most of the movie.

I have to say though, this was one of the best cinema experiences for me and my family, because the Director’s Club Cinema truly offers state-of-the-art facilities. Here’s what sets it apart from all the other cinemas: (1) the Director’s Club Cinema uses La-Z-Boy Power Recliner XR+ seats, which means you can independently move the chair’s back and leg rest and lets you choose any combination of reclining positions, including stress-free zero gravity. Its pinnacle is plushly-cushioned with a high back, channel-stitched details and full-body chaise reclining comfort and support–in other words, it feels like heaven when you’re seated on this amazing chair; (2) it offers a unique menu of in-theatre snacks that are served to your seat at the push of a button; and (3) you get a complimentary bowl of popcorn and drink during the movie.
After the movie, our group headed over to Rossini for merienda. Can I just say, it didn’t feel like a merienda, because we were served plates and plates of delicious food–the best in their menu. We left full and happy. We couldn’t get enough of their unique French-Italian dishes. If you are in the area, you have to visit Rossini. They have wonderful pizzas and pasta, a great ambiance and a deck with a view! The Baby Barangay loved it here!
