As much as I love shopping for new clothes, there are times when I prefer buying thrifted items. There’s a certain thrill to buying second-hand pieces, because you know its one-of-kind, and something you may not come across again. Also there are times when the quality of the thrifted item is even better than buying brand new, especially if its from a reputable brand or label. This is the case of this gorgeous pleated skirt that I bought from the closet of my good friend, Cat Juan-Ledesma (IG handle: @shop.catjl). The bright colors immediately caught my eye and I remember typing, ‘MINE’ as quickly as I could. It was sheer luck that it fit me perfectly–even the length is perfect!
I wore it to a recent trip to Ho Chi Minh and it was just the perfect outfit for a busy day of sightseeing and filming for my show, #TrendingWithKelly and my vlog. I paired it with a simple ribbed shirt from Uniqlo, nude sandals from Meigan Collection (@meigan_collection), white petal earrings, and a brown leather fringe Rebecca Minkoff backpack.
