On set: Maalaala Mo Kaya

As many of you noticed, I haven’t been back on set in a very long time. Sometimes it feels like it’s already part of my distant past, as the last time I was at a taping was months ago. But whenever I get a job (like I did last week), it feels like I never took a break. There’s really something about being in this industry that makes me so happy and proud. And it doesn’t matter whether I land a big or small job, for as long as I continue to get work.

I went to an audition for this role, and as I found out, they were looking for someone to play Venus Raj’s sister. You see, Venus shared her life story to MMK, and she was to play herself for this episode. The role of her sister, Maricel, was a small part without any speaking lines, but I was ecstatic when I found out I got the job. I guess it just feels like the best job in the world when you love what you’re doing.

Here are photos from the set of Maalaala Mo Kaya: Korona episode. Starring: Venus Raj, with Malou de Guzman, Gio Alvarez, Amy Nobleza, Perla Bautista, Simon Ibarra and Marielle Pamintuan. Written by Maan Dimaculangan-Fampulme and directed by Nuel Crisostomo Naval.

On set: this eskenita was actually near ABS-CBN.

Script reading.

Making sure I got my lines memorized haha.

One last direction before shooting the scene.

Another scene at Maricel’s house.

My pambahay wear.

Another scene with Venus’s best friends.

With Venus, friends and mommy Malou.

This was my view at our tent. I positioned myself as far away from the airconditioner as possible.

They allowed me to go home and rest for a few hours while they taped at ABS-CBN. When they called me back, we were ready to shoot the scene that I was in. This was when Venus won the Binibining Pilipinas Miss Universe title.

Happy family. Here’s me with my lolananay and tay.

With beautiful Venus.

While waiting on set, I saw Valerie Concepcion at the nearby dressing room. She was going to tape for Toda Max.

Super miss this girl!

Honestly, I thought this bit role would go unnoticed. I mean, I only came out in five scenes and each one was just a few seconds long. I was very surprised to see so many tweets about my guesting, and for these I want to say THANK YOU!!! I hope Ill be able to get more roles in the future. 🙂 I really appreciate each and every tweet!!
