These days we don’t really need to travel a long way to be able to shop for our favorite brands. One by one, our go-to brands are coming to us, which makes shopping so much more convenient. I’d usually have to order online to shop the brands I love, then have it sent through my family and friends coming home from the States. This, of course, takes so much time and effort it makes me wonder if it’s even worth doing at all!
Well, now we can cross one more brand off our list of pabili, because American Eagle Outfitters is now in Manila. And its first store is just at Bonifacio High Street at Taguig City, which means we can now buy AE anytime we want! Personally, I love the brand’s casual style. It is so easy to mix and match its pieces with the rest of my wardrobe. Not to mention, its super comfortable, which is always a requirement for me for buying clothes, shoes and accessories.
So I got to take a look at the latest Spring collection at AE’s launch last February 28, and I have to say, it is light, bright and so cute. I saw a lot of neons, airy fabrics and new prints, paired with classic denims the brand has become known for. AE is pretty complete, too, as it also carries AE Men, Aerie (for the college girl), 77kids (for grade schoolers) and little77 (for infants). I loved that celebrity teens like Julia and Claudia Barretto, Dominique Cojuangco and Juliana Gomez walked the runway of the show. I thought they looked right for the brand. The event was so well-attended, too. The likes of Kris Aquino, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Diether Ocampo, Jake Cuenca, Georgina Wilson and Isabelle Daza were seen watching the fashion show and shopping at the store after the ribbon-cutting.
And her little sister, Claudia Barretto is just as adorable!
Here’s a look into the store. Saw so many items I want!
