Thanks to this rainy weather we’ve been having lately, I’ve been spending most of my days in bed, hibernating. There’s really nothing like cool weather and the sound of rain to put you to sleep (yes, I am talking about sleeping in the middle of the day here haha). Now before you call me lazy, let me clarify that I’ve also been sick with colds and now cough, so if you think about it, I am doing the world a favor by staying home and not infecting anyone else. But mainly, I’ve been afraid of getting stranded because of flood and/or traffic. And I’m sure most of you agree, traffic has been horrible, I can’t seem to remember it being this bad. So in order to avoid all the chaos out there, I’ve begun to strategize ways so I can stay home and enjoy this sleepy weather for as long as I can. This includes doing most things over the phone, mobile and Internet/email, making sure our pantry is well-stocked so as not to be tempted to eat out, deciding on a nearby resto for meetings so I can go home quickly at anytime, and working from home, which I am so grateful to my editors/bosses/readers that I even have this option (I love blogging).
No choice, since I’m happily stranded at home I have to do all my outfit shoots indoors. Of course, I’m not complaining. Life is nice and peaceful over here at Casa Fernandez, especially as I have Lily bear to cuddle in bed with. This cropped sweater is from GUESS, these super skinny jeans are from Monkee Genes, my studded flats from J.Crew and my necklace from online store Edge Co (Instagram: @edge_co). Edge Co makes handmade accessories, which are really pretty. If you look closely you’ll see that my pendant has ‘KMF’ engraved on it.
Wishing you all a stress-free week! Happy hump day.
