Finally, non-acidic vitamin C for kids!

I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with vitamins. I mean to take them everyday, but more often than not they end up disagreeing with my stomach and I get a tummy ache or a headache from them. That’s why I’ve learned to take vitamins on a full stomach, and to drink plenty of water after. Doing these help a little bit, however, there are some strong vitamins out there that really make me feel terrible after. I am sure I am not alone in this. I shouldn’t be the only one with a sensitivity to vitamins!

Actually, come to think of it, one other person who is exactly like me is my dad. He gets migraines from taking strong vitamins, and will have to sleep it off to feel better. I still remember the times when it used to happen to him, I was living with my parents at the time. There were even a few instances when we got headaches at the same time, and it was because we took the same vitamins!

As you can expect, I stopped taking vitamins soon after, and the headaches and tummy aches went away. However, I noticed after awhile I started getting colds and cough more often. My resistance was low without these vitamins, and I was susceptible to all these viruses. I knew I needed a solution, and fast.

Luckily, my dad presented it to me. He introduced our family to Fern-C. This was several years back when the company had just started and his friend had recommended it to him. He tried it out and didn’t get a reaction from it. In fact, he felt good after and he rarely got sick after using it. He knew I had the same sensitivity to vitamins so he gave me a box (hmm, I am pretty sure he charged me for it haha) and from that time on it became a daily thing. We take Fern-C in our house every day and we rarely get sick no matter how tired or puyat we are. I actually still get my Fern-C supply from my dad, and Carlos also takes it now as well.

The reason why Fern-C doesn’t cause an adverse reaction when you take it is because it is non-acidic. It is actually the first non-acidic vitamin C in the Philippines, and offers all the benefits of vitamin C without the stomach discomforts usually associated with traditional ascorbic acid. It contains sodium ascorbate produced by DSM of Switzerland, the second-largest producer of vitamin raw materials (next only to nature). In the Philippines, FERN-C is the only vitamin C which carries Quali-C®. Quali-C® assures that you and your family are getting only the safest, world-class quality sodium ascorbate.

That’s why I was so excited when Fern-C invited me to the launch of Fern-C Kidz! Finally, there is a non-acidic vitamin I can give Tristan when he turns 3 and he can take this all the way until he is able to take the vitamins in capsule form. This is a huge deal, because there is a chance he will inherit my sensitivity to vitamins and I wouldn’t want him to go through what I did. I am assured he will be strong and healthy when he starts taking this, which I’m hoping could be sooner (please make a version for babies, Fern-C).

In the meantime, I’ve recommended Fern-C Kidz to all my friends who have kids who are 3 years old and up. I’m happy these kiddos will get the same protection I get from all these cough, colds and flu viruses, especially since it’s so common in schools and play groups! Taking this every day will keep your kids active, healthy and virus-free. All Fern-C products are now available at all leading drugstores in the Philippines.
