It was Tristan’s birthday yesterday! Yes, my little boy turned ONE! What a milestone! I can’t believe how quickly time flew. It seems like only yesterday when I first held him in my arms. He was so tiny and helpless then, and now he is one! Exactly 12 months have passed, and in that time he has learned to crawl, walk and talk (he is still learning how to do the last two, but he is definitely on his way). His personality is also starting to show. He knows what he wants and is determined to let us know what those things are (for now we are happy to oblige). He rarely cries (one trait we love about him), because he would rather communicate what he wants than shed tears. Our little guy has been such a joy to everyone around him. We are so blessed to have such a sweet little boy as our son.
We were planning to go to the zoo for his birthday (we wanted to drive to Zoobic), but my dad was rushed to the ER the night before and had to be confined for two days. He is okay now, thankfully. But we decided not to push through with our plans since we wanted to be near my dad in case anything happened. And so we had lunch at our favorite restaurant, Green Pastures (at Shangri-La Mall) and celebrated, just the five of us. We had a fun day! The food was delicious, as expected, and we were even allowed to bring in a birthday cake I had made (thank you, Green Pastures). My friend, Ros Campa-Gelano of My Little Buttercup made the Alphablocks cake for Tristan. It was so yummy–I requested for it to be strawberry-vanilla flavor.
Happy happy birthday to my dear sweet boy, Tristan! I love you forever! You truly are the best thing that happened to us.
Happy 1st birthday Tristan! God bless you…
