I Do Nails McKinley Hill

As much as I love gettingΒ my nails done, I can neverΒ seem to find the time to go to the nail spa. A busy work schedule, never-ending chores and errands, and more work in between prevents me from going regularly. It really peeves me because I think clean, perfectly groomed nails are a must and if I can have perfect nails every single day, I wouldΒ be crazy happy (all part of my OCD behavior).Β So when work requires me to go, you know I am there in a heartbeat!

I got invited by Monica Maceda of I Do Nails to visit their new branch inΒ McKinley Hill. If you remember, I wrote about I Do Nails Eastwood branch before, and shared how its a great place to get nail art (you can read about it HERE).Β I like nail art and all, but I needed to relax and get pampered, so I decided to get a hand and foot spa service instead. It was the best idea of the week. I loved the hand and foot massages I got. The foot spa was exactly what I needed, too, since my feet are always overworked and never get any attention. With all the walking and running I’m doing, plus the countless pairs of heelsΒ I’ve forced my feet to wear, I desperately needed one! Monica was more than willing to help me out, as she gave me my feet theΒ full princess treatment, all while watching a chick flick haha.

After the treatment, my nails looked pretty again (I opted for Deborah Lippmann nail polish all the way), and surprisingly, I felt happy and revived, too. A few hours of pampering really helped relax me. Now I’m convinced I need to include getting aΒ weeklyΒ nail spa to my list of things to do. I mean, its the least I can do for myself since I’ve been working so hard (yes, we girls need some convincing sometimes–we all need “me-time” once in awhile). Check out my nail spa experience at I Do Nails McKinley Hill. P.S. Please don’t judge my feet haha.

IMG_4790They wrapped my feet for a couple of minutes–this helped soften my skin, big time.

IMG_4804And I got a hand and foot massage, at the same time! Heaven!

IMG_4833You can choose from a wide selection of Deborah Lippmann polishes.

IMG_4808They painted on this minty leg moisturizer–I loved it.

IMG_4819They put onΒ a chick flick for me, too. This is Something Borrowed.

I sincerely think that I deserve this I DO pampering session because I finally said “YES I DO” in the teaching profession at the age of 19!!! My ultimate dream and my first ever job πŸ™‚ As a grade school teacher, it is necessary to face your students in the most presentable way and it should start with the smallest details of your body including our nails πŸ™‚ YES, I DO for “I Do Nails” !!!!! <3 Yaaaaaaz!!! πŸ™‚

Hi Kelly, thanks for sharing this wonderful experience with us, your blog readers! πŸ™‚ I would be glad to have a pampering session with my bestfriend at I Do Nails to catch up with our everyday life lessons, simple joys, and even heartbreaks. I am young professional working in Makati who walks and runs in heels in between meetings and rush hour while my bestfriend is a medicine intern who is in call almost 24/7 and doesn’t have the luxury of time to get some pampering. If I win this treat, I’d be so happy to share it with her and get pampered together! Cheers! πŸ™‚

I really (read: badly) need a pampering session because I have been feeling so stressed lately – work woes and first trimester morning sickness. I have been going on bare nails for a little while since I found out I was pregnant and I have been desperately searching for a nail salon that has organic/vegan nail polishes. A good hand and foot massage to go with the nicely cleaned and painted nails would be a little piece of heaven as well.

Hoping to win this as I’d like to share this with my boss. She’s a super mom as well as a super boss. She’s the first and only manager that I had who really cares for her team and is a very sincere friend. Despite the challenges that we are facing, she never fails to look at the positive side of things. As a mom, I can see how she loves her kids dearly.
This session will definitely be a good de-stresser for her πŸ™‚

Need to win this for my boyfriend (yes, weird right?), anyway, he is a 3rd year medstudent in UST and he is so stressed-drilon. I pity him every time he looks so tired (and wasted). Funny thing is, like us girls, he finds spas, pedis and other girly things, relaxing too! Funny, I know, but he’s not gay HOHO. I think he deserves this (and he can take his mom w/ him because mommy also deserves this pampering for being the most supportive & understanding mommy anyone can have) because first, he’s such a kind & responsible son and kuya- dad’s a soldier so boyfriend stands as father of the house, second, he’s the sweetest boyfriend ever- no matter how busy he gets he’d still find time for me and my family and he’d buy me kuchai-ah in Poland bakery everytime he visits me at home, and lastly, he’d never spend for himself because he’d rather save up for tomorrow thats how ‘kuripot’ he is (though I find this a good thing for us) so only rare chances like -winning this contest- that he gets to pamper himself. I Do Nails McKinley is just a few tumblings from their house in PAOVIL kaya it is so a-ok, its like this is meant for boyfriend and his mommy talaga.
