Bench did it again! The retail brand known for working with the industry’s best has found a creative partner in one of Dubai’s prestigious designers: Furne One. The result is a much-awaited fragrance line that will be released this season. These are comprised of a unisex scent called Unholy Eau de Toilette, a fragrance for men named Beautiful Boy and one for women: Handsome Girl.

Here’s little backgrounder on Furne One: the designer won Mega Young Designers Competition in 1994, which some would say helped launch his career in fashion. He later got an apprenticeship with Josie Natori and won first prize at the Japan’s Women’s Wear Awards and became a finalist in Manila’s Fashion Designer Awards three years later. In 2002, Furne One opened his first boutique in Dubai and has since been creating gorgeous hand-stitched, ornate gowns he has become known for. His designs have been worn by international celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicole Scherzinger and Tyra Banks.

The face of the Furne One x Bench is America’s Next Top Model Raina Hein, who made an appearance at the launch. Her look is hauntingly beautiful and deeply mysterious, which translates well with the fragrance.

Unholy Eau de Toilette is a unisex scent. It has a top note of mandarin, a middle note of rose and musk as its base note. (P468/100ml)

Handsome Girl has a floral and fruity cocktail blend of apple, melon, lemon, orange, frangipani, neroli, cedarwood, amber and musk. (P398/70ml)

Beautiful Boy, a fragrance for men, is a concoction of grapefruit, neroli, bergamot, cardamon, peppery, rosewood, iris and musk. (P398/70ml)

Furne One’s most famous designs were displayed at the event entrance. These fabulous gowns were worn by celebrities like Shakira, Katy Perry and Natasha Bedingfield.

For the launch, Furne One showcased a 42 piece collection of his latest designs inspired by the provocative scents. The amazing shoes were made by local designer Nereku.
